Brighton: Rep. Salaheddine Changuite Takes Part in the Annual Conference of the Liberal Democrats Party

Rep. Salaheddine Changuite (Group of Authenticity and Modernity) took part in the Annual Conference of the Liberal Democrats Party, held in Brighton, the United Kingdom, on September 14-17, 2024.

The Conference featured several sessions that discussed climate change, the situation in Gaza, supporting disadvantaged children, and gender equality. Besides, Rep. Salaheddine Changuite held bilateral talks with eminent figures and British parliamentarians, including MP Brian Mathew and MP Munira Wilson from the Liberal Democrats Party. 

It should be noted that the Liberal Democrats is a centrist party that combines liberal, social, and economic trends. Founded in 1988 through the merger of the Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party, the Party stunned the political scene in the last elections of the UK House of Commons in July by obtaining 72 seats, thus becoming the third power after the Labor Party and the Conservative Party. The Liberal Democrats Party showed fierce opposition to Brexit.
